Recording Equipment - History
Core Sound Binaurals + Sony TCD-D8 > DAT Master (32 kHz) > DAT Clone-1 > 44.1 kHz via egosys 2496 conversion > WAV > SHN > CDR
Taper: Michael Dann
Notes: The taper fully understands he did not maximize his recording opportunities and did this by choice. He was about the 8th person into the venue, and had chance to stand in the very first row. Hence the sound is unbalanced because he actually was behind the PA and you will notice the drum sounds very live, because he was not catching it off the PA, rather because it was about 10 feet away from him.
Comments
Average recording, as explained above. Sound is a bit muddy. Audience is noisy, and cheering, singing and screaming, as well as conversations are perfectly audible (I really hear english and spanish conversations in the audience). Bono's vocals are somewhat distant, but music comes through well audible.
