Recording Equipment - History
DPA 4061s + PZMOD CS BBOX + PCM-M1 (@ 48 kHz)
Taper: Mahntoh
Transfer: DAT Master > Sony DTC59-ES > Monster Optical Cable > Terratec 24/96 > Soundforge > CDWAV > TLH (FLAC) @ 44.1 kHz
Additional notes (by Mahntoh): There is a "skip" in The Electric Co. before the whole band kicks in. This is on the DAT Master and my guess is that the DAT stopped recording briefly and resumed later, like a short power outtage. Either that or my battery box internal wirings started going haywire (which happened the next night...).
Comments
Bright audience tape straight off the DAT Master. This is the first of two masters by Mahntoh of the two nights in San Jose. Clarity is very good with a full output, and, as happens with my other sources of this show, bass is pretty prominent in the mix. There's little crowd interference, usually placed between songs.
The band put on a solid performance, and some songs now sound more developed. Bono is very "into-the-show", being talkative throughout the concert.
