Comments
Third of four nights at the United Center, and this time it was Bono's birthday. The atmosphere inside the venue was excellent, and the crowd sang "happy birthday" while clapping after Mysterious Ways. Again, the show was filmed for the upcoming DVD to document the tour. A couple of songs from this concert make it to the DVD, such as An Cat Dubh or Into the Heart (with a child onstage), among many others. The same girl that came onstage on May 9th to play Party Girl, appeared again in this show, with her pair of minutes of glory. The show was closed with a second rendition of Vertigo, that Bono dedicates to himself.
Sound quality is excellent in this tape. Overall sound is very clear although the first pair of songs can sound a bit harsh, as the tape is tiny distant. All instruments are well captured and audible, as well as vocals. I prefer this source than the 'AT853+D8' source, not only for the technical difficulties the other has, but also in terms of sound quality.
