Comments
Excellent audience recording of the first of two nights in Chicago during the third leg of the Vertigo Tour. The tape is very solid and it sounds quite sharp with music and vocals well upfront. I'd say the first pair of songs sound a little boomy due to strong bass, but sound quality is great, anyway. Fantastic rendition of Discothèque. Bono sang a few lines of Daddy's Gonna Pay for Your Crashed Car at the end of The Fly.
Walk On was played for the first time on the Vertigo Tour that night, played in an acoustic version. Moreover, The First Time was premièred that night, as it was never played complete before (the only times it appeared it was just a snippet at the end of Bad during the Zooropa'93 Tour). So both things make this show to be a little special.
