Additional comments (Steve Vahey): Very little close crowd noise if any, nice strong tape. PA seemed maybe a little less clean than previous tours, or maybe it was the acoustics on the floor at Wachovia. Just seemed like the sound was on the verge of breaking up a little bit at times, particularly the vocal. Still a nice strong capture of a great show, the band's energy was insane. IWF and Electric Co set the place on fire. Bruce Springsteen makes a surprise appearance for People Get Ready.

Comments

Another superb recording of the second night in Philadelphia on the third leg of the tour. Again, sound quality is excellent, with a powerful capture of both music and vocals, and minimal audience noise.

The concert is outstanding, with the surprise of Bruce Springsteen and his wife (and guitarist) Patti Scialfa coming onstage to play a cover with U2 of Curtis Mayfield's People Get Ready. As a little trick, Bono sings a pair of lines of Bruce's The Promised Land at the end of Still Haven't Found. Last time The Boss appeared at a U2 concert was also in Philadelphia, at John F. Kennedy Stadium, on September 25th 1987, during the third leg of The Joshua Tree Tour, where they played Stand by Me.

According to the french website u2achtung.com, Original of the Species and Bad were on the setlist instead of All Because of You and "40", but the band decided to play the latters.
