Recording Equipment - History
Hallam FM Radio broadcast > PC Line In > Audacity > WAV > split tracks > FLAC (level-6 SB aligned) > TLH > WAV > Adobe Audition 3.0 (effects, stereo imagery, channel mixer, swap channels) > TLH > FLAC (level-6 SB aligned)
Taper: MyPetWookie
Fixing: miguelca
* Lineage before fix (MyPetWookie): Hallam FM Radio broadcast > PC Line In > Audacity > WAV > split tracks > FLAC (level-6 SB aligned)
* Lineage after fix (miguelca): TLH > WAV > Adobe Audition 3.0 (effects, stereo imagery, channel mixer, swap channels) > TLH > FLAC (level-6 SB aligned)
Additional notes (by MyPetWookie):
I noticed a "skip" in Vertigo,
tried to fix it but I don't think there is anything I can do about it. I don't
know if it was an issue with the broadcast or my PC.
Additional notes (by miguelca): this recording had left/right channels swapped,
resulting in a strange sound with The Edge on the right speaker. I've fixed this.
This sounds great with the channels swapped. The broadcast managed to have a
nice balance between band and audience sound, so this doesn't sound "dead".
Comments
This is a second source of this concert, this time a radio broadcast by 'Hallan FM', taped by 'MyPetWookie'. It seems the original recording had the channels swapped, so a fixed version popped up, work done by 'miguelca'. Sound quality is excellent, and there are no commercial breaks except for the intro and the outro.
