Recording Equipment - History

DPA 4061s > MMA-6000 > Edirol R-09 @ 24/48

Taper: pjdavep

Transfer: R-09 > USB > Adobe Audition (dED & resample to 44.1 at highest setting) > CDWave > FLAC

Additional notes (by the taper): Pretty nice recording. There were some digital level adjustments during the intro and in between the first two songs. 0.001 seconds were cut out at the 7:25 minute mark to fix a digital dropout.

Comments

This is a second source of the concert in Tampa. Compared to the first source, this one sounds more distant and lacks a more powerful bass, so it may sound tiny thin. However, music and vocals sound pretty clear and there's not much crowd interference. The connection with the ISS was pre-recorded, and not live.

Additional comments from the show, taken from u2setlists.com:

As part of One Drop's event Moving Stars And Earth For Water, the 'Space Chat' segment is resurrected for the first time since late July and Bono talks to Guy Laliberté of Cirque du Soleil, who is a "space tourist" at the International Space Station. This takes place between Magnificent and Elevation. Laliberté's contribution was pre-recorded.
