Additional notes (by the taper): The sky opened up and the rain starting pouring heavily towards the end of Mysterious Ways and continued throughout the remainder of the show. I have NEVER continued recording under such inhospitable conditions. The heavy rain definitely altered the sound of the show and caused three instances of millisecond microphone "shorts" which were repaired without the loss any music by O-Canis. I am amazed that that was the only casualty.

To the band's credit they carried on during the monsoon rains and put on a great show. I would have packed up my recording gear and called it
a night if it hadn't been U2 on stage. I'm glad that I continued to record because the show while not perfect, turned out better than I expected.
Enjoy the magic of this rainy night in Minneapolis.

Comments

This recording features the third source of the show in Minneapolis. It is tiny lower in terms of sound quality compared to the second source (taped with 'Core Sound HEBs'), since this 'Milab VM-44' source sounds more bassy with some low-end saturation here and there. The output sounds clear with music and vocals well upfront, and there is a bit of crowd noise although nothing major. As happened with the other two sources of this show, the strong rain affected to the sound quality. However, all sources sound bright.

Edge had problems with his guitar during Until the End of the World. Stand by Me was performed with Canadian rapper K'naan on vocals with Bono, and dedicated to Somalia, since he was born in that country.
