Transfer: ldb - Another nice one from the early days. This is the first leg of the 'October' tour which took place in... October 1981. This set is complete apart from two tracks being cut off. The original recording is like this and it cuts abrutly halfway through An Cat Dubh. I have adjusted it by a smooth transition between the two songs. A pity because the show performance is excellent. Soundwise I would rate it as 8/10.

Very nice recording of the October Tour. Sound quality is pretty good with all instruments well audible and upfront. Crowd noise is minimal. Only issue to note is that it is somewhat muffled. This seems to be an upgrade to the other recording in circulation.  

There are a few minors to mention. Note Rejoice is incomplete and only lasts 1:51, as if the recorder was stopped. Then An Cat Dubh cuts in halfway the song. This recording is missing Stories for Boys, which was played after October. There is an edit before I Will Follow, and it causes the song to cut in, and another one before Twilight. There's a skip at 3:11 in Out of Control that sacrifices some seconds of the song.
