Low generation cassette > remastering process (by Darren Glenn) > CDR-Master > WAV > FLAC
Additional comments (by rgomes): Back in the day when I was still collecting U2 bootlegs on cassettes I got into contact with Darren Glenn from Australia. I knew he was great with remastering cassettes and at the time he was heavily dedicating his time to remastering/"fixing up" the Australian Lovetown series of shows. I sent him a box of cassettes that I thought were worth remastering and preserving on CDR. He ended up remastering Toronto 9/5/92, Melbourne 10/13/89 (sometimes referred to as 'Knockin' on Melbourne's Door') and this Boston 11/14/81 show. I am not sure what he did to them but they certainly sound great and better than the tapes that I sent him. I don't know how low the generations of my cassettes were at the time. Regardless, they sound pretty good IMHO. I have compared this to "Black Cat in Boston" and this sounds superior. I actually have another source of this show and that to me even sounds better than "Black Cat in Boston". So of the three that I have, Darren Glenn's remaster is the best, followed by my second unknown source and then "Black Cat". All this is my opinion of course! Anyhow, enjoy this gem of a show! Note a slight tick/hiccup going from the end of Track 5 into Track 6. Nothing major.

Fantastic recording of this show, broadcast by WBCN in Boston. It sounds powerful and pretty clear, as good as soundboard recordings use to be. It seems this one comes from a very low gen cassette, as it is far superior in terms of sound quality to other versions of the show on circulation, although I haven't compared it with the 'Fradoca remaster' of the Pre-FM source (the other tape I have of this concert). All in all, this is a mono tape, whilte the Pre-FM is stereo.
The band put on a show full of energy, with a strong performance.
