Superb recording of the first date of the third leg of the October Tour. Sound quality is excellent, with a strong capture of music and vocals and minimal crowd noise. The show itself is outstanding, and the venue was the ballroom of a Mississippi steamboat.

Tracks 18 and 19 are bonus, live on December 6th, 1982 at Hammersmith Palais in London (UK).

I grabbed this one on U2T tracker, originally seeded by Steve Vahey, as I used to have an UDG copy of it. So the lineage of the flac files are as follows: Silver cd -> EAC V0.9 beta 4 (secure & tested) -> Wav -> FLAC frontend v1.7.1 Etree Edition -> FLAC lvl 8

Additional comments (Steve Vahey): Seems to be some tick noises in this one that I hadn't noticed in the past. They must come from the master source prior to pressing since this is a Secure clone of my original cd. Good example is the first 50 seconds of "Fire" where you can hear quite a few.

Additional comments (FLOM): Fantastic quality of both the recording and the band's performance. It was recorded before a crowd of around 1500 on a five-deck riverboat, The SS President, whilst cruising the Mississippi River. Although there is a tape edit between Tracks 12 and 13, this CD contains the complete energetic performance.
