Additional notes (by DBMTB): Recorded for the BBC children's TV show "Get Set for Summer" which went out between 10am and 12am on Saturdays. This is from a 3rd generation or above recording of the session. A little hiss was removed. Other than that, the tracks are in the form in which I found them. All BBC TV broadcasts were on AM frequencies until the mid nineties. The recording may well, therefore have been mastered for mono broadcasting so I have not tampered with it. The use of right and left channels is only to enable SHN encoding. Both channels are the same.

Comments

Pretty flat and muffled soundboard recording, although sound is clear enough to have a good listen. U2 appeared to play a few songs live on the BBC children program 'Get Set for Summer' that was aired on Saturdays, at the BBC's North West Studios in Manchester.

Tracks 5 to 10 are U2's (incomplete) set at the 'Gateshead Festival 1982' during the October Tour in Gateshead (UK) at the International Stadium, on July 31st, 1982.
