Transfer: ejectthetape - This came out as the 'No Surrender' bootleg with one track, Out of Control, missing. This version is out of my archive. I got the tape from a record fair in Manchester in a small hall beneath the Piccadilly Hotel. Out of Control is present on this version, although there's some tape swirl at the beginning. New Year's Day has a small edit due to tape flip.

Pretty good recording, sourced from the mixing desk. Sound quality is very good as a soundboard tape, with a powerful and clear capture of the instruments and vocals. Bono's vocals and bass are somewhat louder in the mix, and crowd noise is virtually non-existent. A soft hiss appears between songs, and there is some warbling on occasion (I suppose a result of tape degradation or not being a extremely low gen). The skip on New Year's Day that ejectthetape mentioned appears at 0:16. I Threw A Brick and A Day Without Me have been indexed on the same track (track-4). Finally, note this tape offers the complete show, but it is not an upgrade to 'No Surrender' in terms of sound quality, as the 'No Surrender' has a more polished and crisper sound (although it's missing Out of Control).
