Comments
This recording brings a very muffled sound. Although it sounds powerful (all instruments are audible and well captured, and they come through loud), it lacks more clarity and sharpness. There is a little of background rumbling hiss throughout the show. Moreover, a buzzy sound lays from time to time on the background, as if it was some high-gen-cassette distortion. However, the recording is still enjoyable, as it sounds good and powerful, although somewhat distant. Audience noise is audible, but people shut up during songs. Track divisions run smoothly.
After I Will Follow, Bono remarks that they are in Edge's country, so to celebrate it, they'll sing a song from the crowd's choice for him. Finally, a girl comes onstage and starts singing Land of My Fathers, with the entire crowd joining in.
A nasty edit occurs after Tomorrow. From this point the recording is slightly less clean. A dropout occurs in Two Hearts at 03:07. Another edit occurs before Party Girl, and from this point to the end volume gets lowered and the recording is less clear and more muffled than the rest of the show. "40" fades out early, just a minute and a half into the song.
