Comments
Tremendous soundboard recording, as good as an official item. Clarity and crispness are outstanding, with a very powerful and clean sound. Music and vocals are perfectly balanced, and they sound really close. Audience noise is placed in the background, adding a fantastic participation and live feeling. This recording brings the complete concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater, and moreover, it is a remastered one (note that the commercial bootleg "The Concert" doesn't bring I Threw a Brick and A Day Without Me from the Red Rocks show).
This show is the famous Red Rocks gig, partially released on an official video-cassette. This show is one of my favourites ever: energetic performance, fantastic live feeling and communion between band and audience, and a young U2 overcoming the adverse natural elements in a beautiful natural venue. Adverse weather did not prevent that 9.000 turned out to attend the show, and U2 thanked them with one of their most famous and fantastic concerts.
