Comments
A fantastic broadcast recording. Sound quality is excellent, with music and vocals coming through absolutely clean. Note that the first three tracks come from a different radio source, and they are not as clean and crisp as the rest of the show. Indexation is somewhat messy, as there are splits for each snippet, break, encore, speech, etc. Radio DJ can be heard talking a couple of times. A small interview with Bono and Jim Kerr is placed in the middle of the show, what breaks a little the rhythm of the recording. Gloria is splitted into two different tracks.
Jim Kerr of scottish band Simple Minds joined the band onstage to sing 11 O'Clock Tick Tock and Simple Minds' Someone Somewhere In Summertime snippets during the song. Later, he introduced the band to the audience. Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart of The Eurythmics also joined the band to sing "40". Note that Simple Minds and The Eurythmics were also part of the Werchter Festival line-up.
