Recording Equipment - History

Sanyo M-G70 stereo recorder > Analog Master > CDR-Master > MKW > Flac

Taper: P.B.

Additional notes: This set was prepared from raw mkw files taken straight off the master tape. All edits were made using CDWav. In all the excitement the last song was missed. The taper accidentally left the recorder on 'pause' after the band came back for the last encore.

Comments

Pretty good sounding recording that documents the third night in Melbourne (Australia). Sound is very clear and solid, but vocals sound slightly distant. However, it is a very crisp tape, and I'd rate this one as "VG+". Crowd noise is placed in the background or between songs. A really nice upgrade to what is on circulation. Note the tape is missing "40", as mentioned above.

The curious note of the show happens when the band hit the stage during the intro. Larry then launches into the first drumbeats of Gloria, but immediately corrects himself to start with Out of Control.
