Comments
Good sound for the third European show of the tour. All instruments are well captured, and they are pretty audible, but in fact the show is bass-dominated. Clarity is OK, but the recording lacks some more crispness and cleanness, so it is somewhat flat and muddy. Finally, sound is tiny distant, and audience noise is audible, but not really disturbing (although some conversations can be heard near the taper). To be honest, my overall impression is better than I expected.
11 O'Clock Tick Tock cuts in during the first notes. A couple of edits can be found, so it seems the taper stopped the recording equipment a few times between songs. The first is placed between Wire and Surrender, that affects to Bono's words introducing the song. A second edit can be noticed just before Cry / The Electric Co., so it cuts off the first few notes of The Cry. Another edit is located before Pride, also cutting off the first notes of the song. One more edit appears before A Sort of Homecoming, affecting to the first notes of the song, too. The last edit can be found before Gloria, but this does not affect to the music.
Note the short setlist (70-minute set). A Sort of Homecoming was moved to the encore.
