Comments
Fantastic recording for the second show in Glasgow. It is not as great as the previous night, but however, it is still excellent. Powerful sound, nice crispness and a great capture of all instruments. I'd say it lacks some more cleanness to be as good as the night before, as a little distortion can be heard in the drum beats. Anyway, the tape brings superb sound quality.
U2 put on a strong performance, and incredible good gig. Audience participation is just perfect in every single song. It was a hot night in the Barrowlands, so Bono offered water to the people on the front rows. So all the building started to sing "over here" to the melody of the "Here We Go" chant. Simple Minds guitarist Charlie Burchill joined the band onstage to play along on "40". The other Simple Minds' members watched the gig from the back.
About minors, I found an audible skip at 03:55 in 11 O'Clock Tick Tock, and a dropout at 04:19 in Sunday Bloody Sunday.
