A decent recording of the second of two nights in Manchester. Sound is somewhat distant and muffled, which makes this tape to lack sharpness. Sound is still very clear, but with the bass more prominent in the mix. A bit of hiss remains in the background, more noticeable during the quieter parts of the gig. A ansty skip occurs at 0:08 in The Electric Co.

Again, a very energetic concert from the second leg of the tour. The setlist is identical to the one performed the previous night, except for Indian Summer Sky, that was not played the second night. Quoting U2-Live, a concert docummentary book (written by Pimm Jal de la Parra, published by Omnibus Press, 2003):

*Peter Martin reviews the show for Smash Hits magazine: "Inside the Apollo, I feel an anticipation, an excitement rarely felt at concerts - a genuine atmosphere that was willing the night to be great. Some fans dart out of their seats and rush to the front of the stage. Others follow but are stopped by the dreaded bouncers. Still, it's impossible to dampen spirits. I now know why most bands have given up trying to talk about the importance of their music, because sometimes it's just impossible to avoid all the awful clichés about honesty and integrity, and power and passion and commitment. Those are the areas U2 work in - there's no getting away from it [...]".*
