Comments

Outstanding performance by the band in their début in Italy. Crowd participation is also amazing, singing every single song. This show contains one of my favourites versions of Pride, an extended performance of the song with fantastic participation added by the audience. Bono introduced alternative lyrics at the end of the song. Simply awesome. Bono also allowed himself to sing football chants with the crowd before Party Girl. The overall recording is quite clear and crisp, with music and vocals coming through pretty loud and close. All instruments have been strongly captured, so there's no lack of any of them. About minors, there's a bit of hiss in the quiter parts of the gig, and there are edits after The Electric Co. and after New Year's Day that only affects to crowd noise.

Note this is the remastered version of the original silver bootleg, by Darren Glenn. These are his comments (taken from Justin's U2 CDR Trading):
This one had a fair amount of hiss, and seemed to suffer from different parts of the show sounding remarkably different eq wise… they were all brought back into line to be even and flat. It was also an unusually low recording and the level was revitalized. A good recording of a full show otherwise. The few extra bonus tracks on the end of CD2 took a lot of work as they were really bad in places and this is the main reason for this re-mastering. Now at least they are “listenable”.

Tracks 4 to 12 CD2 are bonus from Mannheim (Germany) on February 1st, 1985 at Musensaal. Sound quality is good for these bonus songs.
