Additional notes (by john52il): Gloria is a generation lower, my master copy had 95% of it erased. I got this from a friend of the taper shortly after the show took place. I know the taper (SL) tweaked the master in some way or another. It is a superb quality recording, VG/VG+. The first night, 3.21.85 has been circulating for some time, but I've never seen this one anywhere. There's no interruption by CBS News during I Will Follow and this night's version of Bad is longer and better than the previous night's, IMO. The band was in top form, although Bono's voice was giving him problems. The Chicago audience was extremely enthusiastic and made an impression on the band as being one of the loudest in the world. Bono was given a hospital shirt during "40".

Comments

Nice recording that documents the second night in Chicago. It seems to come from a second generation cassette, and sound quality is very good. The output is pretty strong and clear, but also somewhat raw, and it gives some high-end clipping on occasion. Crowd noise is not an issue, only adding live feeling. Note there is an edit before October that makes the song to cut in, missing the very first seconds. As mentioned above by 'john52il', there's an edit during the last part of Pride that kills a portion of the show. First, it makes Pride to cut out, missing the last part of the song. Second, it made john52il's tape to almost miss Gloria in its entirety, so it had to be taken from a lower gen cassette, as explained by himself.
