Comments
Bright audience recording that features a very powerful sound. The recording offers a pretty clear and crisp output, although it is slightly boomy. The only minor to note is that audience noise is somewhat loud. Crowd add a nice live feeling, but this audience noise is a bit overwhelming at some points. It is more prominent between tracks, so people usually calm down during the songs. I know some people may consider it a little distracting, somewhat rough. Minor clapping can also be heard near the taper, and a few screaming women, mostly in the first few songs, cheering in a hysterical way. On the other hand, all instruments have been very good captured, featuring a great mix with vocals, so everything is pretty well balanced.
To sum up, the sound really merits an "excellent audience rating", but the crowd are so noisy that detract a bit the listening pleasure, in my opinion. As happens with my other source of this concert, both can be rated as "Exc-". Anyway, this is the kind of show where you can notice or feel the increase of popularity that U2 experienced in those times.
