Comments

A very good recording that comes straight off the master cassette. The tape starts a little muffled, but becomes clearer at the end of the first song. Overall sound quality is pretty good, with all instruments and vocals well audible, and keeps a very full sound and bright clarity until the end of the gig. Only drawback to remark is that crowd interference is loud throughout the concert, with loud voices and mostly hard clapping near the taper.

As described by Justin Cook, "Disc-2 / track-1" is somewhat messy. "The first thirty seconds or so is Edge's guitar outtro to Bad. Then there is a very sloppy edit followed by New Year's Day. All of this is indexed on the same track". Justin continued with this perfect description for what happened during Bad: "The crowd chants 'Let it go...and so to find away' after the band finishes Bad. After nearly a minute of the crowd chanting, Bono sings "If they should ask, well maybe they tell me what I should say...".  Edge starts strumming away on the guitar and eventually Larry and Adam join in as well just before "It's desperation, separation, in temptation, isolation..." The band then plays Ruby Tuesday outtro for two more minutes. Definitely one of the better performances of Bad on the Joshua Tree Tour".
