Transfer: Stadtfelder

Additional notes (by Stadtfelder): It was recorded from the second/third row on Adam's side by a good friend of mine. He did not record the evening before because he knew that it was recorded by someone else with a Sony WM D6. The master tape does not exist any more! This first copy of the master is the lowest generation which is available. With Or Without You includes the "shine like stars"-vers. The champagne was brought by Leslie Dowdall.

This is a fine recording. It is the best possible recording with this equipment. The microphone to this walkman produced a clear recording with little bass. There is only litte audience noise which is not annoying at all.

Comments

This recording documents the second night of The Joshua Tree Tour in Munich. The band puts on a pretty strong performance, full of energy. The output is very clear, but also tiny harsh and flat overall. Audience noise is quite audible throughout the concert, adding nice participation, and generally placed between songs. However, this is an upgrade to what it was on circulation. A great rendition of Bad include some snippets, such as Norwegian Wood or Walk on the Wild Side. There are a few minor edits between a pair of tracks.
