Recording Equipment - History

Analog 1st > WAV > FLAC

Additional notes (by thomsa7): Although I was there, my mate's recorder packed in after about an hour so this is one I picked up from a fellow
taper at the time. Not sure of the gear he used but this is first generation and is probably my favourite out of the 3 shows. The original tape sounded a bit distant and boomy but I have got it sounding not too bad in my view.

Comments

This is a third source of the second night in Glasgow (I say third as it was the last one to pop up), but this is the best sounding of them all. It offers the most solid sound and the clearer. Crowd interference is minimal. Only minor to note is that the tape is slightly distant, but all instruments and vocals are well audible, with a nice bombing bass. To me, it sounds even a little sharper than the recording of the same taper the previous night.

Charlie Burchill from local band Simple Minds came onstage to play guitar on "40".
