Comments

Sound on this item is hard to describe. I'd say the overall recording is a bit thin, somewhat flat. The issue here is that the recording levels were set too hot, and this really affects to the capture of the concert. Clarity is good, and music and vocals come through pretty powerful, but there are peaks of distortion or clipping in the louder parts of the songs, and this can result too annoying. So I suppose some Eq'ing can help or a little remaster might bring a quite sharp and crisp recording. Note that CD2 sounds sharper than CD1, as it seems that the problem with recording levels was fixed. Track divisions are absolutely seamless, perfectly run smooth.

There is an edit right after Sunday Bloody Sunday, that at first sight, only affects to crowd noise. Bad is almost missing, as it fades out at 03:27. October cuts in, missing the very first seconds, and contains some tape degradation, a wave-like sound. Another noticeable edit is audible after Pride, but it only affects to crowd noise during the encore, too. Last edit can be found between Running to Stand Still and With or Without You, that makes the latter to cut in.

Charlie Burchill from local band Simple Minds came onstage to play guitar on "40".
