Recording Equipment - History

Analog Master > WAV > FLAC > WAV > remaster > FLAC

Remaster and additional notes (by glasnostrd19): this may have been recorded on a D-6 deck, not sure about that (or maybe an Aiwa or Sony Walkman with built in condenser mikes sourced master?). The remastering involved here was mainly splicing some tape flip gaps and reducing the loudest claps by 3-4 DB's to smooth it out a little bit.

Comments

This recording documents the second night in Boston (MA, USA). It comes from the master cassettes and offers very good sound quality with a clear and sharp capture of music and vocals. Crowd noise is certainly audible and loud, but never being overwhelming. However, the output sounds slightly harsh, and there is some clipping and hiss. It represents a good upgrade to the popular version called 'Baby Hang On', that comes off the same source. The show is awesome.

About minors, there is an edit after Sunday Bloody Sunday that makes Exit to cut in, missing a few seconds. A second edit occurs before With or Without You, making the song to cut in. The last one happens after Out of Control, and "40" also cuts in, missing the first seconds.
