Recording Equipment - History

Aiwa one-point stereo microphone + Sony WM-D6 > Analog Master [Sony UX90 (type II)] > Sony K870-ES tape deck (3 head/3 motor) > Sony DTC-ZE700 DAT deck used for A/D @ 44.1KHz w/SBM > pass through to optical out (no DAT tape involved) > ZA2 optical in > WAV > FLAC

Taper: Mark DeFrancisco

Equipment / master owner: Kevin Gannon

Guy saying "do it": legendary "madman" Mike Hancock
Conversion to FLAC: Javi Dieguez

Additional notes (by Javi Dieguez): This is basically a raw digital transfer with no resampling, normalization or DAE. There are a few pops (2 during rain, maybe some more) that are not transfering flaws, they are on the master tape as well (double checked).

Comments

Very good recording overall, with a quite clean and powerful sound, and a clear capture of both music and vocals. Crwod are noisy at some spots, but never too distracting, with a bit of cheering near the taper. When people calm down, this one sounds pretty good.

Noticeable edits occur right before Sunday Bloody Sunday, One Tree Hill and With or Without You that make both songs to cut in.
