Remastering process: Drew Williamsen

Additional Comments (by Drew Williamsen): Here is what I did to remaster an already outstanding show:
*Tube modeled compression:
 threshold -48db
 gain 18db
 ratio 2.9:1
 attack .7ms
 release 180ms

*Multiband Compression
 threshold -7db
 margin -.1db
 attack 4ms
 release 500ms
 gain -.1db

*Mastering
 low shelf 8.5db
 peaking 7.5db
 high shelf 10db
 exciter-retro 15%
 gain -.1db

*Adaptive Noise Reduction
 reduce 30db
 noisiness 15%
 floor 7db
 threshold -2.5
 decay rate 138.4ms/60db
 preservation 420Hz

The noise reduction was by far the biggest change in this remaster. I took out all the hiss I possibly could without ruining the overall sound quality. I cranked the bass, the treble, everything. I have listened to several versions of this show and this is by far the best. I think this is the best sounding Joshua Tree show short of an official release!

Comments

Another stunning recording of the first of two nights in Denver (CO, USA). Sound quality is phenomenal with a strong and dynamic output. In my opinion, too bassy, but excellent anyway. Note there's a little hiccup at 1:58 in October. "40" fades out and it only lasts 4:55.
