Comments
Nice sound quality overall for this recording, although sound is pretty muffled. However, it keeps very good clarity, with all instruments and vocals highly audible. Audience noise is also very audible, but not very detracting from the listening pleasure. A bit of hiss is noticeable in the background, in the quieter parts of the gig. Track divisions are absolutely seamless. A slight but noticeable skip occurs at the very beginning of When Love Comes to Town. There is an edit before Bullet the Blue Sky, with no major issues.
The show is outstanding, full of energy and improvisations. A funny sequence occurs during Stand by Me. You can find this info on the book U2 Live (Omnibus Press, 2003) by Pimm Jal de la Parra and Caroline van Oosten de Boer:
-- [...] Bono then starts to sing Stand by Me, and halfway through says: "Larry Mullen, you can sing this too!". Larry is dragged up front and he sings while Bono takes Larry's place, débuting as U2's drummer! [...] Edge helps Larry out at the end, while Bono tries to finish the song with a drum solo but one of the sticks flies out of his hand and he desperately attempts to close with only one stick. --
