Additional notes (by Stadtfelder): There was a bomb threat before the show and all of the 12.000 visitors were asked to leave the building. You can hear this on track 1 on disc 1. After being readmitted the audience saw one of the best shows from this tour. "Knocking on Heaven's Door" had improvised lyrics, citing the Berlin wall coming down and the city of Sydney.

Comments

Very nice recording that documents an odd episode in U2's career (a bomb threat as mentioned above by 'Stadtfelder'). Music and vocals come through pretty well, with very good clarity. Overall sound is quite good, but also a little harsh, not perfectly clean. Both recordings I have from this show come from the same source, but this one comes from a first gen cassette (transferred to digital mode by 'Stadtfelder'), and runs to my ears slightly fast, while the other tape (the so-called 'Everybody Get Out Alive - fixed version') runs at the proper speed but its gen transfer is unknown.
