Comments
This is a very good audience recording that comes from a first gen cassette. Music and vocals come through pretty clear and well audible although somewhat distant. The tape is slightly flat overall, as it lacks some more crispness. Finally, crowd noise is quite audible too, with cheering and clapping near the taper.
The band put on a fantastic show to celebrate Adam's birthday. They drank a lot of champagne throughout the concert, adn it had its consequences. The Edge messed up during Until the End of the World, and the whole band messed up with the start of Streets, making it too chaotic. Bono was very talkative that night, with several jokes and references to Adam Clayton, and leading the audience to sing happy birthday to him. A girl dressed as a Playboy bunny came onstage with some balloons for Adam, as a birthday present, after Even Better than the Real Thing.
