Excellent audience recording, transferred from the master cassettes. This is the same source than the common 'ZooTV at the Rosemont', so it brings the same technical problems that Steve Vahey mentioned in his review:
This is a pretty nice recording of a very hard show to find. "Zoo Station" and "The Fly" have some problems early. It sounds like the taper didn't have his mics up as high during "Zoo Station", as the clarity is not quite as good as the rest of the show. Also, "The Fly" has a few spots early on where there is a shrill noise layered over the music. It sounds like either the Zoo TV rig was having problems, or more likely the recorder was having some problems. Luckily by about 2 minutes into the song, the problem is resolved. Other flaws include some scattered moments of bass distortion (most likely from the recording level being set too high), and a low level background hum that can be heard throughout the show (only audible during the softer spots). The overall sound capture on this set is very nice though, and gives you that feeling like you're 'actually there' at times.
Not much to add. Sound is more full and powerful in this one, as it comes from the master. It really sounds crisper and closer, and sound quality borders with excellent rating. The low-end is more balanced here, with all instruments very well audible, featuring a nice mix with vocals. Zoo Station and Angel of Harlem are complete on this set.
