Transfer and Remaster: Yauckt

Comments

Remastered 2-cd set rehearsal (1 hour 40 minutes aprox). Yauckt was the one who transferred the set from tape to digital mode and remastered it. Later, he put the result into lossless APE files. These are the notes from Yauckt:

I decided to convert this tape when I saw the bootleg-CD that was made out of this was incomplete and pretty bad sounding. My tape wasn't highly superior, but after pitching up all that, remove all these heavy bass and remove some of the extensive hiss that was present, it sounds quite good. I removed it as much as the high notes played could be still heard. Now I consider the sound very clear and heavy. What's new compared with the bootleg-cd? Many many So Cruel attempts! Some great versions of this "so rare" song. Sound level is maybe a bit low and lack a bit of overall bass.

Yauckt (aka nounouille)

Awesome rehearsal. I always look for new soundchecks, as I am very interested in what the band does before shows, or the way they prepare new stuff to put in the shows, or just the stuff they are playing on the tours. In this recording, some hiss still remain in the background. Music and vocals are pretty good audible, coming through very clear. Tracks 1 and 2 on CD1 suffer a very low volume level, but in track 2, after 30 seconds, sound level improves drastically. I heard bits from Yauckt's tapes before the remaster, and the recording has received a nice improvement. Recommended!
