Comments
This concert sold out in a Giants Stadium record of 23 minutes. Great audience recording, with excellent clarity and very good sharpness. Music and vocals come through crisp and well upfront. Audience noise is minimal, although you can hear people cheering from time to time, but not a problem at all. In my opinion, excellent performance of Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses (the last full band performance of the tour). Lou Reed appeared onstage to sing with Bono Satellite of Love.
This source is different to 'East Rutherford 12-08-1992 / Sonic Studios DSM-6P + WM-D6 master'. Sound quality is rather similar in both sources, and it seems both tapers were located in the same area. Probably 'Wanted!' sounds more "full", as it seems to have suffered some remaster before being silver pressed. However, this source doesn't seem to be complete, as it's missing Love is Blindness.
As mentioned above, With or Without You fades out. Love is Blindness fades in, and it is perfectly linked to Can't Help Falling in Love. In fact, U2 didn't perform the Elvis rendition that night, so it makes me think that both tracks (Love is Blindness and Can't Help Falling in Love) are not from the August 12th, 1992 show, and were added artificially by the bootlegger.
This set contains some bonus tracks. The first track on CD1 is One by the so-called 'Automatic Baby'. Bonus on CD2 are tracks 11-12-13-14. Track 11 is from Foxboro (MA, USA) on August 23rd, 1992 at Foxboro Stadium. Tracks 12 and 13 are from a soundcheck at Lakeland's Civic Center (FL, USA) on February 29th, 1992. Track 14 is from East Rutherford (NJ, USA) on August 13th, 1992.
