Recording Equipment - History
Sony WM-D3 + Sony mini mic > Analog master (Minerva V.) > Analog 1st (Maxell XLII, Dana F.)
Taper: Minerva V.
Transfer (by Dana Fletcher): Analog 1st > Sony TC-KE5000S 3 head deck line out > PC line in > EAC (record WAV and tracking and a few edits) > flac. Normalized to 95%, a few tracks Bullet, Running and Desire has some mic connection problems where the RT channel did not record for a few 30 second gaps. I copied and pasted with cross fade from the left channel. I also took out some clapping from alone clapper during the quiet parts of stand and Running using interpolate with freq.
Comments
This is a pretty good audience recording of a very nice gig, but it has a lot of crowd noise, which is somewhat loud sometimes. A couple of women can be heard cheering and screaming, between and during a few songs, which ruined a bit the quality of this recording. Mysterious Ways contains two skips at 03:28 and 05:00 that kills a couple of seconds of the song.
After Love Is Blindness, Bono asks Edge if he can play a C chord to sing Can' Help Falling In Love, as it was the evening of the 15th anniversary of Elvis Presley's death.
