Comments

Very enjoyable recording of the first night in Foxboro (MA, USA). It was transferred from a first gen cassette and then speed fixed by Scott Zumsteg. Sound is pretty good, with some slight distortion on a few spots. The only major this tape presents is the big amount of crowd noise, with individual voices here and there, but generally placed between songs. However, when people calm down, this item sounds really good. Note Arms Around the World cuts out near its end.

During New Year's Day, Bono lowers the mic to some fans, who can sing a few lines of the song. The show sounds to me somewhat 'weak' by the band, not really a spirited performance.

Note there's another recording on circulation, the so-called 'Foxboro Zoo - Night One'. This recording definitely comes from Ted Driver's source. It's said it also comes from a first gen cassette, but that's unverified, though. So I would get Scott's transfer instead of it, as it comes from a verified first gen cassette, it was re-sped and it comes straight off his CDR-master.
