Recording Equipment - History

Comments

This recording brings a very flat and muddy sound. Music and vocals are well audible and clear, but they come through really thin, too, as it lacks more crispness and strength. Crowd noise is certainly audible and note that some individual voices and conversations are audible on occasion. Although it was recorded with a DAT, it really sounds like recorded with an analog source or as if it had touched an analog step in its lineage.

There are a few inconveniences. First of all, there is some tiny saturation in the louder parts of the show. Moreover, there are pops between some of the tracks. Until the End of the World is splitted into two tracks, but recorded in its entirety. Arms Around the World contains a persistent skipping near its end, so the track finally cuts out, missing a good portion. After Pride, the recording levels got lowered, and the concert sounds pretty muffled. Finally, from With or Without You to the end, the sound suffers from wavering, decreasing the listening pleasure and making it a little annoying.
