Recording Equipment - History

Sonic Studios DSM6s mics + Sony TCD-D3  -  remastered version, no lineage

Comments

A brilliant recording that brings excellent clarity, powerful sound and minimal audience noise. This set seems to be sourced from 'Sonic Studios DSM6s mics + Sony TCD-D3', but this tape seems to be a remastered version or a different transfer, being more balanced and solid, while the other set I have of this gig (sourced from the DAT Master) has a prominent bass that causes low-end saturation all along. All instruments are well audible, and several little pops throughout the tape are the only minor to remark.

A short rendition of Dear Prudence pops up after Angel of Harlem on the acoustic set. When Love Comes to Town includes a few lines of Daddy's Gonna Pay for Your Crashed Car.
