Comments

This is a second recording of the second night in Glasgow. My two tapes of this show come from the same source ('AP AST-20 + D7'). Clarity and sharpness are exceptional with a close and strong capture of music and vocals, and minimal audience interference. The output is pretty deep. The other recording I have (the so-called 'Lost Highway') was remastered / enhanced, so it sounds stronger than this one ('Glasgow 08-08-1993'), but perhaps it is a bit more artificial. Where the Streets Have No Name and Pride (In the Name of Love) have been indexed on the same track.

The show is simply fantastic, exceptional setlist, with some surprises. The song Zooropa was premièred that night, without the opening piano sequence. Before Angel of Harlem Bono and the crowd sing 'happy birthday' to The Edge, since it is his birthday. Edge sings Lost Highway for half a minute while Bono, Adam and Larry sit down on the monitors, but later he quits, as he is unable to remember the lyrics.
