Recording Equipment - History

Sonic Studios DSM-6P + Sony TCD-D8 > DAT Master > DAT Clone-1 > PC (digital in) > remastering process (by Fradoca) > Flac

Additional comments (by Fradoca): I received a clone of the original DAT master way back in 1998. I don't remember who sent it to me and how it was recorded. It has been hidden in my vaults for so many years. Some months ago I decided to grab the audio from this DAT and apply some remastering 'cause the source was good but not as good as now. I enhanced the dynamics, the eq the stereo image and I've maximized the sound with L3.

It's an excellent audience recording. You can hear some clapping in 2 tracks but the audience noise is almost virtual in this recording. It's funny to listen to band trying new ways of playing the songs live. Here we have one of the last performances of "Staring at the Sun" played full band
.

Excellent audience recording with a powerful and solid sound. As stated above by Fradoca, crowd noise is minimal. Music and vocals come through strongly and really clear, so this is a major upgrade to the silvers in circulation (note this one and the silvers come from the same source - so thanks to fradoca for his awesome work on this set).
