Taper: Brian Klein
Location: on floor near front
Lineage: Nakamichi CM-700 Studio Condensor Mic x2 (wrapped in black cloth and held under chin) + Sony TCD-D8 > DAT Master > HHB Pro Standalone CD-R Deck > CDR-master > HHB Pro Deck Cloning > CDR-1 > EAC V0.9 Beta 4 - Secure Mode > WAV > FLAC FrontEnd v 1.7.1 ETree Edition > Flac8
Additional comments (Steve Vahey):
This one was taped by a good friend, Brian Klein, using
rather large Nakamichi studio mics that he borrowed from a vet NYC area taper
who swore by them. I remember him telling me he was sure he was going to get
busted taping this show, since the mics were so huge. He wrapped them in black
cloth and held them under his chin for 2 hours, thats some hardcore stealth
taping.
This is the raw DAT put to 1st gen digital CDR, sent to me by the taper, then I
put it to FLAC. No remastering or EQ.
Comments
Second of three concerts in East Rutherford (NJ, USA) at the Giants Stadium. This show was near of being a soldout, as only 2.000 tickets remained unsold.
This tape brings excellent sound quality, and it is a great alternative to the earpiece recording that is around. I'd remark the fantastic capture of the bass.
