Additional notes (by the taper): Recorded outside the venue (an old airport). The distance was very far and for this reason the sound is poor. There is some crowd noise on the recording. This soundcheck includes Bono on vocals. Mostly he is not present at soundchecks. I guess the reason for this "full band soundcheck" was the radio broadcast. This show was (partially) recorded and the songs Gone, Even Better than the Real Thing, Last Night on Earth, Until the End of the World, New Year's Day and Pride were broadcasted a few weeks later. Maybe U2 wanted to make sure perfect recording levels.

Decent sound quality in this recording. It documents the soundcheck in Cologne. 'Stadtfelder' said it all about this soundcheck: a few songs were broadcast a few days later, and it seems the band tried to get them fixed. Even Better than the Real Thing fades out at 2:32.
