Recording Equipment - History

Church Audio CA-11 cardioid mics + MM Mini Battery Box + i-River iHP-120 (Rockboxed)

Taper: PontiacB

Location: About 15 rows back standing level with right edge of stage

Transfer: iRiver iHP-120 > USB > WAV > Soundforge 8.0 (normalize, fade-in/fade-out) > CDWave (track splits) > FLAC

Additional notes (by the taper): Odd bit of singing along/shouting out next to me, but nothing too bad. It reduces as the gig goes on as a couple of lads who had had a few and were getting into the occasion moved away from us. It was nice and loud where I was, just below and in front of the right stack hanging from the ceiling.

I've not had so many hair tingling moments in one gig as this for a long time - Intervention does for me every time. It was a fantastic show and night, even the potential nightmare of getting out of the car park worked out well for me. Amazingly this didn't seem to be a sell-out and some of the seats at the back were curtained off.

Comments

Brilliant sound quality in this audience recording, another of the excellent masters that 'PontiacB' has provided. It sounds clear and strong with a very full output. There's a bit of crowd noise, but nothing too distracting.
