Recording Equipment - History
FM (Radio 1) > Audio CD > EAC > Cool Edit Pro (see notes below) > CD Wave Editor > Flac8
Notes:
Bit of a pain in the erse, this one. Midway into the intro of Jaqueline
the station dropped the sound level by about 30%. This meant that the rest of
the broadcast sat at about 40% normalisation. So... Track split at drop point,
main body normalized to 90% then initial portion normalised to match. Track
rejoined then split via CD Wave Editor.
Previous downloaders will know my opinion on Steve Lamacq - suffice to say
another 'Lamacq Moment' spoils the broadcast, as he insists on plugging his show
over the start of Michael. Said moment is somewhat made up for by a wag
in the crowd passing comment 19 seconds into the intro - couldn't have put it
better myself.
Comments
Another great FM broadcast of a Franz Ferdinand show. Fantastic clarity and sharpness make this tape to have excellent sound quality. As remarked in the notes, Radio-1 DJ talks over the intro of Michael, first song of the encore.
